Jumping higher through vertical jumps and leaps requires a tremendous amount of flexibility, to avoid pulling a muscle or stretching beyond its capability. Exercises for jumping higher require stretching for 5 minutes before and after the workout, to avoid abrupt movements that could pull a muscle or cause muscle strain.
To gain flexibility, you need a workout plan every other day, to allow a free day in between for muscle healing. There is a very basic exercise plan for vertical jumpers that increases flexibility, and will show immediate improvement in height of vertical jumps, whether for dancing, basketball or hurdles. This is not for the light-hearted, as it gets progressively harder each session.
To start, you will need to perform calf stretches. This involves a starting position flat-footed, then arching onto your toes and back down to start position. You begin your first session with 50 of these. Rest the next day, then on the third day you add 25, for a total of 75 calf stretches. Repeat this process, adding 25 calf stretches each session until you reach 1000. By this point, you will have pushed your calf muscle group to optimal bulk for noticeable results in vertical jumping.
The second part of this workout involves leg squats. You start your first day off with 50 leg squats, then rest the next day. On the third day, you add 10 more, then rest the next day. You continue this workout by adding 10 leg squats each session until you have built up to 500. This is for thigh muscle strength, which is the muscle group responsible for over 50% of the vertical jumps or leaps.
Ideally, you will start with 50 calf stretches and 50 leg squats on first day and continue the two exercises simultaneously until you have reached the maximum reps. You will definitely see improvement in flexibility and strength in the leg muscles. Another exercise you can add with a short amount of time to this workout, just involves sitting with your back straight against a wall with your legs outstretched in front of you for one minute on the first day, and add 10 seconds more each session. This stretches the back thigh muscle group and adds to flexibility.
Does Flexibility Help you Jump Higher? You bet it does, whether for dancing or for sports. Remember to stretch before and after every workout to avoid muscle strain or injury, and gradually increase your reps on exercises, just past the point where you "feel the pain", and you will be jumping higher in no time.

The process of jump starting a dead car battery is quite simple and relatively safe, but like many situations involving machinery there is always the risk of injury if not done properly. I have never been injured jump starting a car, nor have I ever known anyone who was. But I always knew the potential was there. If you know what you want your photography and identity to look like but haven't achieved the look yet, maybe you need more work on your photography before you can establish your business.
Take a look at your photography and decide what level of talent you have and what potential you possess. Be critical of your work, but also have others critique your work for you. Learn how to use constructive criticism to improve your photography. If your identity isn't where you want it, ask yourself, what needs to be improved? Get help from friends, family or again posting an ad on Craigslist for some temporary help. After you have mailed everything, follow up with phone calls to let them know who you are. This will help provide a personal connection to your materials and help start future relationships. Building relationships is very important and will help bring work your way through word of mouth. Another great way to build relationships and get your work out is to participate in any bridal shows that come to your area.
Knowing your business and what you offer to your clients and the industry is the most important thing. Just as it is important to know your self-identity as a person, so is it important to know your business identity. When the phone starts ringing people want to see confidence in you and your images. Cold Frames help produce healthy tomato plants, making a successful transition from indoors to outdoors. Your cold frame system can be any size and as simple and inexpensive as you desire. It's called a cold frame because the only warmth comes from natural sunlight. The most common home made cold frame is a small frame placed on a raised bed, made from leftover wood, hinges and pane windows.
Many gardeners have given up starting their vegetables, especially tomatoes, from seed because they do not use the cold frame process and often their plants die during the "hardening off" period. Be sure and use a brick or prop up the windows with home made 'legs' on nice days. It is also a good idea to use a slightly raised area for drainage.
Another bonus for using a cold frame is being one of the first in your neighborhood to have home grow tomatoes and vegetables. Just remember when deciding which type of cold frame you desire, make sure the area you choose has proper drainage and Southern Exposure. You can start your seeds 4 to 6 weeks earlier than normal and give your garden a jump start before you are officially frost-free. Why not try a simple home made cold frame this year, you can use your savings to try that new variety of tomato you have had your eye on.
