5 Food photography tips Starter

So you are going to jump into the world of food photography. Here are my top 5 starters, you are on track to fire shots of food!

1) Good lighting
food photography, and each photograph is all about good lighting. Good lighting does not mean you go and buy two studio lights, a blend of beauty, a couple of soft boxes, etc. Most of the time lighting is great, of course, a beautiful window that is not to bring to light (cloudy days for best me)then adjusted as usual. Unfortunately for those who have to shoot at night, the lights are the only option, but if you choose, keep it during the day.
Diffuse, bouncing, you need to get the best results when lighting. You'll be surprised how few adjustments highlights come to life. I usually wear white boards 2-3 to jump with me to the light and a handheld mirror. It 'surprising practicality in

2) Props and Disposition
What I love most about foodPhotography, as opposed to say, wedding photography is that the food never complains about a bad side. Does not move, just sits there, but you still need to work on it. Take a piece to collect the remains, pour it, edit and add the appropriate props to change it every time. Select props, color and style compliment. They want the food to be a hero, and the props are there as a "chorus". The rule, which I also keep in mind, less is more, so it is difficult, ifYou must not do anything.

3) attention to detail
Thus the food is not moving, that does not mean that you act quickly. Normally starts a few minutes before a meal to "cry" as I call it. It sags and loses his life. Get up close, zoom, a couple of shots, the setting, make a couple more, just that it works quickly. Remember, the food in the center and use what makes the compliment. You must be a devil with the details are different. I've heard some people say, "but I canPhotoshop at a later time, but where is the capacity of it. If you plan to do food photography, and do it with flying colors. Well, it's true abilities.

4) make it pop, and if you need to deceive
It should be noted that with the food photography is that there is no need to eat, just needs to look good. This gives you an excuse for more food than they would be ready to be cooked - food and fashion designers do just that. Improving the grid marks with a blowtorch, add cotton balls for asome pressure, to shine a bit 'of vegetable oil, you can also use the glue for milk (although I must admit that I've never done one)

5) Grab Bag
You're only as good as the tools that you carry, so a good kit lens is a must. Usually a good 50mm or 35mm lens (F1.8) will work on an entry-level SLR large. Stepping up, a 50mm (F1.4) lens or even a 100 mm macro lens is ideal for food. You should not break the bank and must usually 1 or 2 jobs easily cover the costs(Especially if you are the F1 50mm .8 (cheapest Canon lens always goes though a little 'plastic)

I do not know about you, but I do not really have a steady hand. A tripod keeps things nice and level, plus it gives me the opportunity of adjustments without losing its registration as such. My Manfrotto is my best friend!
